DMSO - uring has weird smell

I had my first DMSO on Monday. On Wednesday, I noticed a strong, strong odor in my urine. I'm in severe pain right now. Has this happened to anyone else?

blue i take heparin and marcaine at home its a dmso also.
sometimes after a dmso you can get an infection and this does sound like what has happen to you not always but sometimes anytime you have a cath you are pron for infection.:(
please go in and have your self checked for a uti.

Usually right after the DMSO treatment, the first few times you urinate your urine can smell like the DMSO (garlicky, "chemical" smelling).

However, if yours smells several days after the instill, and you're still in pain, I think Dixie is right... you might have an infection. It's best to go get checked out...

I tried DSMO treatments when I was first diagnosed .. they worked for a few years. Sometimes providing relief for up to one year after getting 1 treatment a week for 6 weeks. But after 4 years they didn't even last for 2 months so I gave up on them and started taking Elmiron, I'm not sure yet if it will work for me. I am really hoping it will.

WhenI used the DSMO treatments I found, well people around me, found that garlicy smell for a few hours after the treatment.

The smell seems to be going away after a couple of days. Oh well, as long as it helps!
