View Full Version : Urelle
My insurance, Harvard-Pilgram, told me today that they would not cover my prescription for Urelle because it contains hyoscyamine which is not FDA approved. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem.

Medical drugs can not be marketed in the US unless they are FDA approved!

I've never heard of urelle not being approved - my doctor had even given me free samples of it. If you are not able to get urelle, there are two sister meds that are very similar. One is utira-c - I know it is available - I just refilled my prescription yesterday and it was only $10 for 60 pills. There is also prosed which costs $60 to fill! If you can't seem to get any of these, ditropan xl is an excellent antispasmodic. It also comes as a generic form making more affordable. Good luck.

lbs....let your insurance company know that Urelle....or any drug can not be prescribed or sold in the US unless it is FDA approved, and they should know this! If it is the cost that's the problem, the generic for Urelle is Darpaz.
