Since i've not had a proper diagnosis yet i am taking tramadol for the pain. The doctor says she's pretty sure it's what i have since the high crp in my blood tests & urine sample indicate so, so the next step is the cystoscopy to confirm it.

Im not sure how effective it's being - i took my last one yesterday morning and i was in immense pain all day. I got another script from the doctor today, and took 2 plus with 1 paracetomol since that's what the doctor/packet say to do... but i'm really worried about the side effects of taking too many tablets, i don't want to overdose myself.. i'd rather be in pain!

There wasn't a leaflet in my packet this time and i threw the other one away without reading it, bit silly i know, but i'm wondering if anyone can tell me the side effects of this? I don't want anything to impair my concentration, as i've got exams this week and the next.

Thanks
Annabel :)

I don't have a problem with tramadol. You can find information on the internet about potential side effects. Just google it.

Thank you Donna. Do you know how long it would take for any potential side effects to kick in/go away? I couldn't find anything about that on google. I've never taken high doses of it so am slightly worried.

Just spoke to my own pharmacist. She said there are no sedating or addicting properties in Tramadol. Basically, no loopiness. She is very good however she is not sure Tramadol really works. I am still going to try.

Thanks everyone. I'm not too sure the double dose is agreeing with me much. Yesterday after a few hours of taking them i felt really dizzy, drowsy, tired and really sick. I was in the library and i felt too dizzy to get up, luckily one of my friends offered to drive me home. I woke up fully clothed on my bed at about 3am and felt fine, went back to bed and now i've just woken up(8am) feeling really shaky, nauseous again. My fingers are trembling too. I don't feel as bad as i did yesterday, but it is a different feeling. I think in future i will stick to taking just the one. Thanks though! :)

I think it would be a good idea for you to check in with your doctor.
