So, I turn 30 today and move up to this section of the ICN forum. I remember back a few years ago when I thought 30 was old. Funny how I no longer feel that way! :)

Happy Birthday, Stacey! You've reached your first milestone!! :smile tee
Well, 29 was a REALLY bad year for me, so when I turned 30 it was GREAT...just told myself "as long as I NEVER have to be 29 again!!!" lol 30 was good, I hope it is for you, too! I am glad you are feeling well, and EXACTLY your age!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had a good birthday. I'm still celebrating today a bit. I like to drag it out as long as possible! Today is my husband's birthday, so I'm making dinner for us and then we'll do our card exchange and all tonight.

My 20s were a bit tumultuous with my bladder, a couple of family deaths, a near-death for my dad, etc. I'm hoping the 30s will be a bit quieter! Of course, they'll kick off with the birth of our first child this fall, so who knows?! :)

Thanks, you guys. So far 30 is off to a good start. I just got back from a relaxing week of vacation with my husband and dog. :)

Happy Bithday (belated) I turned 30 this past January and I don't I feel the same as I did in 20's everywhere except in my bladder. It's seems to be deterioating lately at an alarming rate. I have to agree 30 no longer seems old to me either. (lol)

Hello I am a Stacey also!

I am 36 and live with IC and I am loving being 30 something.

I have flares. I have pain. I have good and bad days.

Surgeries:

Tubiligation age 23 (after 3 kids)
Hysterectomy age 26
Appendix out age 30
Gall bladder out age 32

Health problems
Seizure disorder
ACM type I of the brain (my cerebellum is somewhat shoved down into my spinal canal)
IC

Meds
Enjuvia for menopause (awesome!) plant based estrogen only
Omega Total EFA 3-6-9 by Health from the Sun (awesome!)
Vicodin 750 as needed
Fentanyl 12mcg duragesic patch as needed
Suboxone 2 mg under the tongue when I am not on narcotics
This is good but need anti nausea meds
Remeron 1/2 tab with Rozarum tab to sleep (as needed)
Urelle for bladder spasms and pain one per day

I try to take only what I need and I eat very healthy. Chicken, salad, tuna, oatmeal, and meat lean cuts.

I dont have the diet issues other IC people do. I love chocolate. Too much hurts my bladder as in two candy bars..LOL

I cannot have oranges orange juice, or Vitamin C.

I bodybuild and run and walk and swim. I do exercises on an exercise ball to strengthen my pelivic floor muscles. I meditate and take baths and hot showers.
