:( Hi everyone,
I had my second shockwave treatment to remove kidney stones on the right side this Tuesday and I'm miserable! I think I might be passing gravel from the procedure and my period is right around the corner, so needless to say, my bladder is turned inside out. The hyrdo I had two weeks ago has seemed to once again left my bladder in an uproar and it's so hard everyday. This tuesday after surgery, my Uro prescribed Norco 10, 2-every 4-6 hrs. (20 of them) and they are not working as usual, but are better than nothing I guess. After my surgery my Uro comes up to me in recovery to remind me not to drive when taking the Norco and I told him not to worry about that because I spend most of my time in bed. He asked me why and I was shocked! I said because of the IC and he said oh, well we will get you to feeling better. I found a great Uro that holds a IC support group in my area and was very excited until I was told that they do not take my insurance (of course). I'm through with the Cysto/Hydro's-they obviously only seem to make a bad situation worse! I'm down to my last 4 Norco and the pain has been so intense that I have been very close to vomiting on several occasions and can't shake the sick feeling at all. I've tried calling my Uro, but he hasn't returned my phone call. My Mom took me to her regular Doc and he said that if he could help me with the pain he could, but apparently cannot do that anymore. It was one of those situations where the wrong kind of people found out that he was simpathatic to people w/chronic pain. I don not understand these people @ all. It makes it so difficult for those of us who suffer on a daily basis. He gave me a name of a doctor that could help me and once again-he doesn't take my insurance. Due to all the trouble I've been having, I've had to get withhelds on all of my classes in hopes that I will find relief over the summer so that I can continue my life. It gets harder everyday. I'm so depressed an frustrated!!
