I have been in quite a bit of pain over the last three days. I have been right out on the couch or bed with my heating pad and pain medicine trying to feel better.
Tonight I had to go get my daughter at work and right as we were getting in the car I started getting some pain in my Vaginal area, my urethra and bladder. It is almost like I can feel it twitching. Needless to say that was a long ride. I was hoping that if I went to the bathroom, I would relief the pain and pressure and I would feel better. Not the case, even though I was sure I had to pee of course I just dribbled. And when I wiped there was a little pink on the paper. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and am not used to that. When I stood up the first time it seemed to relieve it some, but when I got back into the car it came back just as bad as before. When I got home i did the whole the process again, but the toilet paper is more pink than before. It really feels like I am trying to pass glass thru there and it is almost unbearable. Any suggestions?

What I suspect the most because of past hysterectomy and your description of symptoms is that there is some pelvic muscle issue going on. The pink may be many things, especially being post hysterectomy. What type of hysterectomy did you have? Do you still have your left ovary? Do you have issues of dryness?

Do you sit on a pillow in the car?
I definately suggest talking with your doctor. I would need some more specific description of the pain in vagina, urethra and bladder to make a more specific guess but there are quite a lot of possibilities and a lot have to do with the pelvic muscles.
Considering you previous PFD diagnosis could you have a prolapse?
Good luck!

It sounds very much like you could have an infection. I think it would be a good idea to be checked as soon as possible.

I had a vaginal hysterectomy, the pain is in my urethra it feels like there are razor blades are coming from my bladder to my urethra. I can feel my urethra and my bladder spasms. It seems like the more it hurts the more blood i find while wiping and in the toilet.

You should not have bleeding from a surgery that happened six years ago. It's not unusual to have bleeding and irritation from a urinary tract infection.

So you believe the blood is coming from your urethra? If so, please have your urine tested and cultured for UTI to see if you have an infection brewing, as Donna suggested! The symptoms you describe sound very much like UTI.
Possibly all you need is a round of antibiotics if it is UTI related...if that is the case antbiotics could very well begin easing your symptoms within a few days!

If you are not certain if you are bleedng from your urethra or vagina, a good way to determine is to insert a tampon into vagina for a few hours and when you remove it see if there is blood on it (even just a junior/lite tampon would do). Also while tampon is in, check the TP when you pee to see if there is pink/blood evidence...that would point more to blood coming from urethra, I would think.

I hope you find out what is going on and feel better soon! Please see dr for in office test AND lab culture for UTI asap!
