my period and bad after 2 days of being on my period and after stopping it? I don't understand why my bladder feels the best for the first 2 days of my period, but any other day of the month, I tend to need to use the bathroom quite often? Could my body not accept my hormones? I've had IC, from even when I was 6 (back before puberty) and it was the worse at that age (I was needing to pee everyday every 5 min, constant) but 2 years after hitting puberty, my bladder was the best, but now its gone back to being quite bad (I'm pms'ing so its at its worse) Why is that?

What makes it the best for the first 2 days of my period? But really bad for rest of the month?

Many ICers have changes in symptoms that are related to hormone fluctuations. I had a hysterectomy before I developed IC so don't have experience in that area.

I don't know why either, but mine is the same...I'm nearing ovulation right now and feel crappy too...
I find the 3rd day of a new pack of birth control, the time I ovulate and the last few days of my period are the worst each month...i just keep up with heat and rest and diet...

Mine is bad for the week or so leading up to my period and continues until my period is over. It's got to do with the hormones. I just take my pain meds, heating pads, and rest as much as possible. Also eat as plainly as possible, nothing that might make it worse.

Same here. I just have to recognize what is going on and try to do more relaxation and warm Epsom salts baths..............

You aren't alone.......

mmm, a nice hot bath...I never do that for myself, but I am SO SORE from straining & flaring & more flaring :(
I think I'll do that tonight, perhaps even put on some cinnamon ginger cream for muscle relief afterwards...

Mine always flares starting at ovulation and continues for a bit after that. When I was on birth control, I'd flare starting on the 21 day almost every month. Fortunately, this doesn't happen every month, but there's a definite pattern.

Is it more related to a drop in Estrogen or a rise I wonder?
