I was wondering if this is suitable to take. I have reasonably bad IC and also suspected Inflammatory bowel disease. It would be nice to have a different tea to drink, but I don't want to make things worse. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried it. I am especially interested to hear if it is acidic or if it is a diuretic.

It's supposed to be OK for IC. I tried it, but couldn't STAND the taste. I used it only a few times, but it didn't bother my bladder. I much prefer, and still use, marshmallow root tea and chamomile tea. Good luck

I drink it and like it. It's just something different for when I'd love a hot drink.

I do fine with it. I didn't like the taste much either until I tried the Republic of Tea Rooibos with vanilla. I brew it weak add sugar and lots of milk, like I would to chai. Every once in a while it's a nice change. Starbucks serves a rooibos with vanilla with milk but it's brewed strong and with a huge amount of sugar. I need to cut their drink with about 100 percent more milk.

I'm so jealous. I tried it and loved it but it gave me such a flare and such a rash! And a new tea store just opened in the Mall that I work at too it smells soo goood! Oh how I miss tea.

Don't feel bad. It's not that good! You would just get tired of it. Sometimes I think about what it must be like to be able to just drink anything on the planet instead of only water and two or three insipid herb teas. And then I wonder why I even bother with the insipid teas. I might as well just drink water.

Just thinkin' out loud. Pay me no mind. Tomorrow I'll be thanking my lucky stars I can drink tapwater.

Goldfinch, your post made me chuckle, as I have had similar thoughts about the limited menu of drinking options with IC. I am sick of drinking water, and now I'm beginning to suspect one brand in particular might have flared me, so maybe now I'll even have to be careful about water. Grrrr! I can drink weak peppermint tea, but I don't even really like it! I don't really care for any herbal teas. I miss my English Breakfast tea so much. BTW I have a box of licorice tea in my kitchen that I'm afraid to try. I used to drink it before IC and it was pretty good. I haven't tried the rooibos yet. Too scared.

If you get the rooibos tea, I recommend the "Republic of Tea" one. It's got vanilla & cream in it & is the best tasting one I've found. I can have a very weak cup of it if I'm doing well, but not if my bladder is even the least bit irritable.

Roobios should be ok for you to try. Have you heard of Marshmallow Root Tea? That is supposed to be excellent for soothing your bladder. I have only been able to find it on-line. I can tell your where if you pm me. We are not allowed to mention websites on this forum. Another tea that is helpful is catnip tea if you are having spasms. Raspberry Leaf Tea is good if you are having cramps at "that time of the month". Peppermint Tea is good if you are having issues with IBS. Hope I didn't overwhelm you with choices! Have a good night.
