OK...so I ended up having the hydro with the chlorpactin. I am beginning to think it was a bad, bad idea. Ended up coming home after surgery for a day and then went back in for two days for bleeding and pain management. I am finally home, but started to bleed a little bit. Now the bleeding isn't a lot of blood, but at the end of my urination (which is excrutiating every time) I am making droplets of blood in the toilet. Is this normal? Is it normal to still be in knock to your knees pain after urinating? I am having major spasms during and after voiding as well. Thanks so much for reading.

It sounds like it might be an infection --- please check in with your doctor by phone this evening --- you may need to go to an urgent care center or ER. Please don't wait.

Heather...You really need to have your urine tested for infection. It sounds like this is what you are experiencing. Please do as Donna suggested.

I am one that feels like you after a hydro. but I would have to agree to call your doctor, you may have an infection. Grab a heating pad or some ice, get comfy and try to stay out of pain.

Yes, I agree with the others you need to be checked for an infection.

I have to agree with the others in regards to the infection....but it's possible the clorpactin may have beat the crap out of your bladder. The most popular mode of treatment unfortunately is much too strong per Dr. Globus. His reccommeded amount of .2% vs the widely used .4% usually results in extreme pain for patients. And he notes that sometimes it is necessary to prescribe meds stronger than over-the-counter meds to control the pain.

I had clorpactin done and I suspect it also was done wayyyyy too strong. It took months of being kind to myself to get back to some normalcy.

But definitely get the idea infection ruled out. Infection of any kind can be dangerous if left untreated.

I hope you feel better soon :)
