Vesicare and Luvox

Hey all,

I went to my doctor today who decided to start me on a trial treatment of 5mg of Vesicare daily for the next 6 weeks. I was doing some research on the internet just to make sure I know all the information about Vesicare, since I havent heard much about it, and have stumbled upon quite a few sites that say Vesicare can react with Luvox. I am currently taking the highest possible dose of luvox (200mg a day) for OCD/depression and I was wondering if it is safe to take the Vesicare along with the Luvox. Im not sure whether I should call the doctor and bring this up or not. I mean, wouldnt they have my medications on file? I was wondering if possibly all medications warn of this particular drug to drug interaction. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts on this subject?

Additionally, I am hoping everything is fine because I cannot bare to travel the hour back to the doctors office! It was absolutely horrible today, especially on the way home, because I began a flare on the car ride home while being stuck in horrific traffic. I was darn near ready to jump out of the car and go on the curb!

Your post caught my eye because a family member of mine is on Luvox for OCD. I do know for sure that he can't take any kind of antihistimine meds with it. I believe Vesicare is listed as possibly having a moderate interaction with Luvox. I think it would be wise to give your doctor a call. The other option is to consult with your pharmacist. They usually are willing to discuss any concerns you might have about interactions. Sorry about your ride home from the doctor. I know how that feels.
