Bowel problems and IC

I have a twisted colon on the left side, and I was also diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. I have been drinking marshmallow root tea and my IC symptoms have not returned until a few days ago. I did some rough exercising which was not a good idea. My colon started to hurt again, and so did my bladder. All those months of being well went down the drain. At least I realized that my colon is causing problems with my bladder, because that is where it all started a year ago. Of course, doctors don't believe this even when I try to explain, they say I am young and I will be fine. I am so angry at this point I don't know what to do.

I was diagnosed a few years ago with IBS also, but that went away after my dysfunctional gallbladder was removed.

Hi, Sorry to hear about your sorrows. Yes I can relate to having IBS. Some days I'll be constipated and others I'll have gas & instant BM. Seems like I can eat all the fiber in the world and it not help or it may make me worst.

Have you ever been to a gastroenterologist? They are better suited to diagnosing your colon problems.

my dr put me Miralax 3times a day. seems to help some but as long as I am on pain meds this is not really going to get much better.
