I refilled my prescription for Utira-C last week and was given this instead, as it is a generic for the drug.

Unlike Utira-C, with which I had no unpleasant side effects (I mean, besides blue pee), this Darcalma is giving me awful dry mouth. I have to CONSTANTLY be drinking water or it's unbearable. And drinking all that water makes me have to go more... which aggrivates my bladder.

Has anyone taken or had a similar experience with Darcalma? If so, does the dry mouth get better?

If you have a reaction, tell your doc or pharmacy. I have a couple meds where I can take the name-brand but not the generic. It does happen no matter how much they tell you they are the same. In truth, it only means the supposedly "active" ingredients are equal. :) Hope you feel better!

Darcalma is giving me awful dry mouth.

Me too! I just figured it out. I'm even experiencing some gum irritation it's so bad. I'm going back to the Utira-C

I'm so glad you posted this. I was able to get some utira-c tonight. I had "just" made the connection between my dry mouth and the med change.

It also was not providing the same relief as the utira AND my vestibulitis has been MUCH worse the last few weeks. At least the sudden vestibulitis/vulvodynia symptoms had finally sent me to the physical therapist. My assessment went well, tho I def have very high tone and several other issues we're going to work on. She said her finger went numb LOL

Has anyone else experienced strange dreams when using Darcalma? I like Utira-C much better.
