Uristat worked by third dose.

I've been in a really bad flare for the past 3 days. But I am finding relief by the third dose of Uristat. I think. Last night was really bad but I took my 3rd dose this morning and I feel different. My doc prescribed Prosed but my insurance doesn't cover it. I am thinking sometimes I just need to be patient while waiting for these meds to work. I just wanted to share for anyone else who doesn't get relief on the first dose.

Oh yeah, I've used Uristat. You can buy it over the counter at any drug store. It's pretty much the same thing as Azo. They usually don't help me, but I know they have helped others. I'm not sure if I've ever used it for up to three doses in a row, though. I think you're only supposed to use it for a couple of days and then give it a rest because I think your kidneys have to do a lot of work when you take them. But I've seen others on this board post that they use these frequently as needed during flares.
