For those of you that pray, or just think postive thoughts, I would appreciate your help today. I am trying to get ready for work...and I am barley able to function, both physically & emotionally. I have been in this "flare' for two weeks and I am worn out. I am doing everything I know to do....the diet, taking Urelle(way too much) but I am not dx and can't get in to see the doctor until the 24th...next Friday....two lifetimes away:help:
I have to work unless I call in dead....I can't find anything to eat....I am a mess. The pain & pressure & frequency are pretty much constant; I will have a few hours of respite, and then it comes roaring back.
Thanks for the place to vent...I do not know whta I would be donig right now without you guys.

You might want to pick up a UTI test kit at your local pharmacy to check to see if you have an infection. You'll have to stop the urelle for a couple of days first, however. If you have a primary care doc, they can check you for infection.

If you go to the Patient Handbook you'll find a list of IC safe foods so you can find things to eat.

I'm so sorry you are in such a tough place right now.

Warm hugs,
Donna

My good thoughts are with you --I know how frustrating it can be waiting for that MD appointment--don't they know we need to function? You will get through this:grouphug:Jaisa

Donna and all,
Last week when my current urologist didn't return my phone call, I did have the presence of mind to go to my Primary Care and get a urinalysis & culture....the culture results are positive! I have never been so glad to have a UTI! But, that still doesn't explain all the trips I have made to my uro over the past year with these same symptons and have beem told that my urine was clear. Did they just never do a culture?? I am still looking forward to seeing this new uro on the 24th. My neurologist told me that she was very good.
Anyway I have started Cipro and am grateful for your encouragement!! :)

:)Saw my new uro today, and I realy liked her. She is very knowledgable about IC, very kind and compassionate, and seems willing to allow me to have a say in my treatment! I am having a CT due to my history of stones, and then after I get off this Cipro and over this infection she will evaluate and we will go from there. She reinforced the importance of the diet, and we talked meds...and she did a physical exam, and was very gentle. So....I am encouraged to have found a doctor that I can talk to.
Thanks to all of you for being there!
