Hello: I'm Cherise 2040. Iam 67 and have had IC for 5 years off and on. First had Hydrodistention. Then started on Chondroiten sulfate and Glucosamine with a small amount of leaf Aloe Vera. Things were mostly quiet except for a couple of small flares. Now it started up the monster for about 5 weeks getting worse and worser. I just had another hydrodistention and DMSO.Had to wear a catheter for 2 1/2 days. The pain and the feeling of urgency is horrible. I'm taking some pills for the pain. It is 5 days now. What is the doctor going to do to me next. I do have other problems like Depression, anxiety constipation. And I don't know a single sole in real life to talk to who may have this. I have 2 sisters who don't speak with me because I am i'll and they are not. So my adopted sisters on this website be get in touch with me. Love you all Cherise2040:pray:[/I]

Hello there Sorry you are flaring (((hugs)))
I hope you are trying the IC diet! Also when flaring meds like Proced DS or Urelle always seem to calm things down for me..Also do not forget to drink your water, keeping your urine diluted can really help.
I know how it is when family can be distant, I am sorry about that.. I am glad you have found some internet friends. I know I have made a few very close friends through the internet.. Even met my hubby that way :)...
But if you need anything please do not hesitate to ask!!!

Hi Cherise 2040, Sorry to hear you are not feeling so well. Its horrible isnt it, and yes it can be very depressing and the anxiety feeling like "oh no here I go again". guess we have to try to keep a sense of humour, though at times difficult. I have met a lovely lady in my home town andhave become friends and able to discuss the situation, when nobody else I know of suffers from this, and so consequently dont understand. when I am in a flare up, lots & lots of water and Ural do help to alkaline the bladder, the IC diet really does help, and stops many flare ups. Keeping busy takes my mind off the situation, and laughter. Just keep smiling and know that many people do care.Yvonnef.

I'm sorry you're so miserable. It can take a while to recover from a hydrodistention; hopefully you'll feel better after you've had some recovery time.
Sending warm healing thoughts,
Donna

i hope you feel better! Ask your Dr. if there is any other treatments you can try. Or if he/she knows of a support group. Don't feel alone, I am also suffering with nonstop bladder pain, if you are feeling alone remember I am here and I know the pain you are feeling. I hope you recover soon! Also, ask about urojets or lidocaine.
