I am in a pretty bad flare right now and I am thinking about going back to the elimination diet (I follow the IC diet pretty strictly but I do use some things like salad dressing, ketchup, strawberries, etc on occasion and usually do fine in moderation, but not in a flare like this).

So, I was wondering, for those on a very strict meal plan or elimination diet, what is a typical day for you meal/snack wise? I'd love to see how you balance out your day and get enough vitamins/minerals (especially considering vitamins KILL my bladder, I have to try and get enough nutrition from my food).

Thanks!

I ordered the book "Confident Choices" by Julie Beyer from the ICN store. I ordered the cookbook as well. Both have been really great resources for me. She offers sample menus for when you may be in a bad flare. Here is what the book says:

Breakfast:
scrambled eggs and toast with butter
pears
milk

Lunch:
Chicken sandwich with white bread and butter
carrots
pears
milk

Snacks:
Bagel
Toast
hard-boiled egg
carrots
pears
milk

Dinner:
Chicken
rice
green beans
pears
milk

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions! I am in a nasty flare right now and am afraid to eat/drink. I hate this! I got this flare (I believe) from vitamins. I am trying to find a vitamin plan that I can use... but man o man... this flare is a doozy
