Dear IC and Chronic Pelvic Pain Sisters,

I feel this Video represents us really well. We are the girl in the red. RED Represents IC and Chronic Pelvic Pain and the Guy represents all of those who have tried to fix us (including all of the doctors). The part that gets me in the end is when he drops her to the floor and she is NOT fixed. That would represent so many of us who are still struggling to get a handle on reducing our pain to a level we can live with but we still can't find the sun behind the clouds and many of us are still in so much pain, mentally and physically.

Here is the Video and Lyrics (Video from "So You Think You Can Dance" Australia) and Lyrics and Song by Coldplay........

Title: Coldplay - Fix You lyrics

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
COULD IT BE WORSE?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

What a beautiful video.........I think in the end he doesn't drop her........he is anguished that he CAN'T help her no matter how many times he tries.........

From a mental health situation you see this a lot........the partner is enabling her to keep leaning on him.....he even gets pleasure from it in the beginning.........he picks her up repeatedly.......and she is using him as a crutch..........but eventually it exhausts him..........physically AND emotionally..........he wants to help, but it is taking everything out of him and he has to walk away.........

I do think a lot of our spouses feel that way. I know my husband does. Not that I lean on him continually....I hide a lot from him that just becomes superfluous. But I know in the past when I was worse........saying this is wrong and that is wrong and he is perfectly healthy.........is wearing.............in some ways we have to understand that also...........

Thank you so much for sharing it.........

My Husband didn't drop me but some of the Doctors sure have. My Husband feels at a loss b/c there is not much he can do but love me. He says all her cares about is that if he can make me smile and or laugh once in a day then he knows he's done his job and he feels better, even if I'm in the Hospital. He loves to see me smile and that's all that matters to him. He knows I take care of the rest and I'll let him know if I need him and he's always there...............I am very lucky! I am grateful and I am blessed!
