Hi all. I have been so busy with everything since Feb, I haven't been on here much. Just wanted to drop by and see how everyone is doing. My daughters and I have been heading up a Relay For Life Team for the Cancer Society, and had a big fundraiser this last weekend. It didn't turn out as good as we had hoped for but we did make a little bit of a profit for the cause. Our theme for it this year is Nursery Rhymes and Fairy tales, so we had a fancy Cinderella type dance, :party:with costumes and the whole works my oldest daughter built a castle front like they use on stages, with flowers and everything around it, . It was beautiful!!! we had little cinderella slippers and placecards and napkins at each seat , candles on each table and a buffet for everyone to eat. It was really a lot of fun.We also had a silent auction from different people and stores that donated for it. and a DJ playing the music for us to :dance:dance. Not that I had a chance to even sit down much less dance!!! But it was for a worthy cause and it was fun to dress up in fancy clothes.
Plus I found out a couple weeks ago that my future step-daughter and her boyfriend are giving my fiance and me an all expense paid honeymoon for 7 days somewhere that we have to have a passport to get to. It is a surprise and all she told me is to pack plenty of sunblock and sunglasses. I guess I will find out at our wedding reception May 22. We have to be at the airport on may 23rd at 7:00 am so we are going to get a hotel in Nashville close to the airport after the wedding.I am so excited!!:woohoo: and nervous and scared. I have never been anywhere like that or been even been on a plane. I will let you all know where I am going when I get back. Wish me luck that I don't get too nervous and have a flare before I get to go.

Hi Babs, I live in Cookeville. My oldest daughter that helped with it is in the army and she lives in Oak Grove Ky right outside Clarksville, She is stationed at Ft Cambell. I have been up there several times. My girls did enjoy doing this. We have lost a lot of people in our family to cancer and they want to help find a cure for it. We are doing the main relay May 7th at the fairgrounds here, and we are doing a jail and bail. someone will have one of their friends arrested and make them pay to get out. A local night club here is donating use of their big wagon that looks like one of those old ones they used in fairy tales for the slaves to ride in with bars on the sides. and we are setting up our castle again when we have it. We are still getting donations and we plan on having a big yard sale on the 17th to raise some more money for it. I hope the yard sale brings more than the dance did. It is good to get on here and talk to all of you again. but I am turning in for the night.Love ya'
