Hi - does anyone know if iron supplements are known to cause irritation to the bladder? :confused:

Thanks Donna. I see this page lists foods that contain iron, but nothing about supplements. The reason I ask is for my mom. She has IC, and is in the hospital right now. They are trying to give her iron supplements, but she's not sure she can take them. They gave her ensure, but it caused an IC flareup. She cannot have many of the foods that contain iron for other health reasons.
