Does anybody have any advice? I've been on Nortriptyline for a week or so and it has been the first thing that I have found that offers me any relief from my frequency. But I think it's making my PFD worse. Since taking it the muscular pain has tripled in my pelvic area. Should I stop taking it? The frequency gets really bad so I am so sad to think I will have to go back to that!

Hey hey! I'm on the same drug, just started it recently as well. I'm not sure if it's helping or the other stuff they have me on... I go to physical therapy and it REALLy helps with my PFD, back pain, IBS, and joint problems. Plus, it's not a drug!! If the drugs make you feel better and you want to stay on it, maybe you could try pt to help with the side effects?

Hi Syrabeth. Thanks so much for responding. I'm doing PT as well. I've made so much progress with the pelvic pain that my PT is ready to "graduate" me. But the frequency persists, so the doc said I need to calm the bladder nerves down so I needed to go on something to get them back to baseline, so I started the Nortriptyline. But now it's setting me back with all the PT progress I made and making all the muscles seize back up. Every day I take it, it gets worse. I think I'm going to stop it tonight. I'm bummed because finally I wasn't going to the restroom every 15 minutes! This is just so difficult to figure out.:bonk:
