after elavil strange pulling feeling in bladder

I took 10mg of elavil and slept great. I woke up feeling OK but after I went to the bathroom I felt this a pulling feeling in by bladder. Almost like it was tight and stretching. It lasted all day. It was terrible I think more annoying then the pressure I usually have. I didn't take it again. I've also felt this feeling after trying Detrol. It wasn't as instense as this time though. I was so hoping this drug would help me. I was supposed to increase to 25mg after a week. I've also been on Elmiron for 6 months. As this happened to anyone else and what is it?

I have no idea, Sue. I have never read about this being a side effect. Could it be caused by something you ate or drank that was different from your usual? It might also be a spasm. I think you should call your doctor and ask about it.

sometimes as i'm 'goin' i'll get a pullin feeling in my innards. i figured out, for me, it was my pelvic floor muscles, and taking a small/regular dosage of xanax/valium...some muscle relaxant helps with that. baths help a lot too! from what i've heard if you have pfd some meds, specifically elavil, can make it worse.
