How do you use Prosed ds and others like it

My doctor told me to try Prosed ds 3x a day for 3 weeks and see how it goes. Do many of you take this every day, if so how many times a day? Also is this something you can just take when you feel a flare, for how long do you typically take it. Im on day 4, I don't really notice a big difference in the reduction of my symptoms (frequency & urgency,) how long does it typically take to work?

I suggest you give it a few more days; then if you can't see any difference at all, give your doctor's office a call.

I'm with Donna on this one. Unfortunately, I find that it sometimes takes multiple doses to work - Often I have to get through 4 doses or so before I even notice my pee turning blue. When I take it - I take one every 6 hours. I don't take it every day - just when I am in a flare.

If this doesn't work for you, there are other meds like this that you can try. Hopefully, someone will chime in who uses the other kinds (like urelle).

I have just switched over to the above med as my insurance won't pay for Urelle.....I like it and I think it works faster than Urelle. I get it at CVS.Jo
