I noticed today that I guess I am leaking some urine, my underwear has blue on it! I never noticed leaking before but could have been happening but now that my urine is blue i see it . Does this happen to anyone else??
I haven't officially been diagnosed yet, doctor gave me Prosed ds to take 3x a day for 3 weeks to see if it helps my frequency and urgency. I have been taking it for 3 days, I don't really feel too much better, my IC symptoms are mild. How long did it take for you to notice relief?
Yes, I get the blue, also. Wonderful effect, huh?! The Prosed will also stain the toilet and seat over time. Of course, the pyridium turns everything orange. For awhile I had "Easter bunny underwear" with both colors.:lmao: Now it is just blue. I swore that I would not buy any new ones until I could quit the Prosed, but had to give in and buy it anyway--sigh. One friend just buys black so it does not show. With my VV I cannot always wear anything, but white cotton most of the time. The prosed helps so much, however, it is worth it to have blue underwear. Hope it helps you enough that you don't mind the blue underwear.

Use a panty liner.

Seeing some blue on your underwear doesn't necessarily mean you are leaking. There may be just a little dampness left after you use the toilet tissue. I agree with the suggestion to use panty liners to avoid staining your clothes.

That's what I do when I need to use the OTC Pyridium (the neon orange stuff). Actually, I apply one every time I leave the house just in case I dribble or don't get dry enough when I wipe no matter if I am taking the med or not.

I'm going to buy blue underwear from now on. I haven't had any problem with dyes bothering me. PV

Exactly right, Donna! I have to use Urelle every day, so I use unscented pantiliners every day, too.

I'm one of the ones who wear black undies. I did discover what takes the blue off my toilet bowl though recently. I posted that on this section of the ICN somewhere.

I use a clorox bleach pen on stains on my white stuff. Removes spots very well. You wouldn't want to put it on anything colored though.
