Interstim and pain

I have had my interstim for about ten yrs. and it has been off for more than 4or more. My doc. stated before that he wouldn't take it out because he is afraid when he does I will want it back. I have lost 45 pds and since then my area were the interstim is hurts. I am thinking about getting it removed. Could loosing weight do this?

Yes...according to my dr. Your weight can play a role in the amount of pain you have with the interstim. Is it sticking out more now?
If it is so painful I would insist(I had to) that it come out NOW.
I hope you get some relief.

Well tomorrow is pre-op for the removal of inter-stim and cysto and Hydro. I really hope that he is going to put me under. I hope that he doesn't back out of the inter-stim removial. He did this before. More details will come after the visit on Monday. I also have a oncology visit and a mamagram so it will be a fun day.
