Tricyclics and further damage to bladder

I have a question, I just started Nortriptyline yesterday, which is like Elavil. I am wondering, if this cuts off some of the pain, is it just masking the nerve pain? So if I eat something that would normally cause pain and it masks it, am I causing further damage by not being aware of it and continuing to eat those things or do those things that are actually hurting the bladder?

I sincerely doubt you would be doing further damage, but encourage you to stick with your diet.

This is something that I have been debating with myself for awhile..I know I cannot eat some things because it causes pain.. But there are some things on the bad list that I can have and it does not cause pain.. So what I have decided to to is to just stay away from all the real acidy things..And not take any chances..
