Urimax

Anyone had any luck with Urimax. Just started it today. I was living on pyridium and percocets....

I am in the middle of trying to figure out what is wrong with me...terrible flank pain, bladder spasms, and the feeling of having to go 24 / 7. Have been in the hospital three for this-two times rquiring catheters (over 500 urinary retention- post void). I have had kidney stones before that this is almost worse than that. Anyway, I'm off to lots of testing and medication testing....

Sorry, I can not help with your question about urimax but, like Donna, I wanted to welcome you to this site. Sounds like you are going through a lot. Hope you get the help that you deserve.:)

:welcome: Wish I had the answers. Like you I feel like I have to go 24/7. Terrible symptom and I haven't gotten rid of it...I've lessoned how severe it is...but it is not gone.

My Dr. gave me a sample of Urimax yesterday. I took one and I think it did help (I already take, as needed, hyoscyamine, one of the ingredients.). My problem is that although the instructions say that it turns your urine blue, my urine didn't change color at all!

Hi Emily,

When I first tried the "blue pee" drugs like Urimax and Urised, I took one pill and discovered not much happened to my urine too! Then, I had a few nasty days where I felt awful, and took one pill every 4-6 hours like it said on the bottle... after taking about 3 pills, my urine started appearing blue-green. After more, the color was really apparent... I guess it takes a while for the stuff to build up in your body enough to be seen in the urine??

On a related issue, I have noticed that Urimax/Urised works pretty well, but it takes several doses for me to start feeling better... generally, when the blue pee begins, I start feeling better. Sometimes I just do NOT feel like waiting, and I just go ahead and take a good old Pyridium... those seem to work faster for me, but they also cause chest tightness (I'm asthmatic).
