Bladder spasm

When people talk of bladder spasm what does this feel like? I keep getting these zinging sharp pains down below. I don't know if it's pelvic cramping or what. It's making me crazy. Ughhhh. Thanks for your help. I hear many talk about spasms.

My spasms feel like extremely severe menstrual cramps, but in a slightly different place.

My Urethra pinches and throbs. It hurts.

It feels like lower pelvic aching and throbbing. I can also feel the pain in my urethra. Pelvic floor therapy and certain meds have helped me with this.

Mine feel like a knife being rammed up my bladder. It really hurts bad. I put ice on it to calm things down.

Hey Sandra,

In addition to the bladder pain from my destroyed bladder lining, I started having other "pains" in my vagina, my urethra and then on what seemed to be both sides of the exterior of my bladder. I didn't know what was going on, until I considered the pain from a "charlie horse" in a leg for example. I then determined that the various sharp pains I was having in those places were actually spasms.

So, maybe if you think of "charlie horse pain" like I did, then you may also determine that you are experiencing "spasm pain."

I now take 6.5mg of Zanaflex twice a day, which is really helping a lot with those various painful spasms.

Same here, I get that too. Especially at night.

What causes it?
