Monster Flare for a long sufferer of IC...

i was just curious what you do for a monster flare??? i have taken all my pain medsd alloted, taken pyridum, valium...the works (pretty much all i have in my arsenal)...and i still hurt like hell. tried the heating pad, cold pack...nothing.

i am in so much burning pain it sucks. oh i also took a bunch of prelief.

also, i am going to run out of every avail. pain killer i have thanks to poor planning on my part...that means i will have nothing in a few hours & then i will begin withdrawal. would you suggest calling my uro even though the doc. on call is so rude & condensing & begging for some pain meds??? i really dont know what to do....

I think I already responded on FB to you but have you tried the baking soda trick? How about a hot bath??

Wow! Sounds like you exhausted all options! Oh! the pain stinks! How about going to the ER to get relief. Tell them exactly what you told us and your pain is way beyond 10! They can at least put stronger meds thru a IV and it's instant. No one should be in that much pain. :bonk: Hang in there, I hope you find relief soon! Think Positive :smile tee

thanks for the replies, thankfully I got in touch with my uro. & got another script of vicodin called in, so i am covered in that area.

still flaring badly, but at least i have more tools to handle it...just wish it would go away!!!
