Im really not sure how to tell the difference. My back started hurting yesterday afternoon I guess around 3pm. It slowly started wrapping around to my stomach and down my legs. About 8pm last night I noticed I had a fever and chills so I was kind of thrown off as to why the fever was there. By the time the fever started I was hurting so bad I really felt like I was going to pass out. The bladder and back pain is terrible and my frequency has increased a ton. Ive been to the bathroom 7 times already this morning and in a normal day I go anywhere from 7-10 times. It started about 6am but its been the worst in the last hour, Ive gone 5 times. I guess really the only thing that makes me think UTI is the fever, which I still have, but my period is due in just a few days. My sister-in-law came and got my youngest but I still have my 2 year old so its not like I can spend the day in bed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ladies!

Most of those symptoms that you described is what I get a few days before my period. I acutally feel feverish, nauseous and lightheaded, like I'm going to pass out. I think it is a flare that always occurs before and during my period and the pain is quite intense and always makes me feel like I have a UTI. However, I've been tested a few times around this time and it's always negative. The back pain is definately one of my worst symptoms. I hope you are feeling better now!
