Should I try?

I'm going to see my urologist in two days, I haven't seen her in nine months. i really need to get my ic undercontrol. I'm going out of the country and I don't want my ic to stop me. I was thinking about asking her to do something like the DMSO. I had it done once before, I couldn't tell if it helped any. Should I try it. I was on Elmrion for five months, It didn't seem like it was helping any and I couldn't get checked to make sure everything was okay.

the dmso heparin and marcaine works for me but others it doesn't i say just talk to your doctor and see what ya';ll can work out together

Elmiron can take longer than five months to have any effect at all. The usual thought is that it takes as long as six months or more before you see any difference.

If you only had one DMSO treatment, it probably didn't do much --- when I started DMSO I had eight weekly treatments before moving to once a month.

There are many treatment options available --- the best suggestion I can think of is to do your research and then discuss treatment options with your physician.
