Going back to Urologist

HI All,

It's been awhile since I have been on this. I don't remember if I had posted before about how I had not been back to the doctor since 2005 and they told me that I did nto need to go back unless I was having problems and if I needed my perscription updated that all I had to do was call the office and they could call it into the pharmacy. Even my husband and father could not believe they did not want me to come back for a check-up even a year or so after my last visit.

So, on April 13th I am going in for a check-up. It has been 4 years since I have been in to see my doctor. I am really not having problems, I would just like a check-up.

So, for 4 years you just call and they renew your meds without seeing you? I am greatful that my Urologist only wants to see me every year provided I am not having any problems. No refills past that 1 year date. However, I am glad to hear that you have been feeling good for 4 years - that is great!

Thats great that you have been/and still doing this well!! Can't believe that he doesn't see you at least once a year just for checkups. I know when I run out of refills my doc tells me to come in. I usually see him 2 times a year because of having hydros-see him in the hospital - usually not in his office as between meds and these treatments he really can't do too much for me. I had my last hydro in February but was/still am having problems so I have been to him a few times this year.

Four years? Wow! May I ask what you take and what you have found to help you the most? I see mine every three months or so but I am still having lots of problems,they just can't do much more for me. Would love to know what has helped you and if you are working.

Hi Kim....

I just saw my urologist a couple weeks ago and he told me as well that I do not have to see him on a regular basis unless something comes up that I would have to.....He will refill my prescriptions as well without having to see me annually.....I am fine with that:).......
