since I was diagnosed and now that I keep everything written down .I am noticing I get 2-3 goods days and then I am in pain all over again. I am watching what I eat and drink . I am in so much pain today. I can barely walk, I have been bundled up with my heating pad and heating patch all day! I pray these bad days can become further and further apart:pray:  its starting to take a toll on me emotionally. I cant get in with either of my doctors for 2 more weeks and I just dont want to make another trip to the ER.I have been sitting here bawling most of the day . My emotions are so up and down I am so happy to have you all for support but I feel so alone. I wish there was a support group in my area... although I am happy there is not a need for it(.....I would never want any one to have feel this way):( thanks for listening and being so supportive......

I.m so sorry that you are having trouble!! I have a lot of the same symtoms as you and it never gets any easier. I hate having to go to the E.R. as well, but sometimes it gets so bad that it doesn't matter what you do or what you take, the pain still remains. In my area, it has been difficult for me to locate a support program as well. Although, I've found that the people on this network are the best. Especially if you have a URO like mine that refuses to recogize the severity of IC. I hope that you find relief soon. Hang in there!

Kelly,
We will all be here for you. If you can't see them and they won't do anything for you, don't hesitate if you have to go to the ER. When you are hurting that bad, it could be a long couple of weeks if no one will help. I am praying that things will get better.:kissing:

Hi Kelly, so sorry that you are having so much pain right now, but if you are getting no relief, I would go to the ER, I know you must be feeling down, know the feeling myself. Hope you get some relief soon, and please keep us posted as to how you are doing, soft hugs Iris.:grouphug:

Kelly,
I'm so sorry you are having such a rotten day. I wish I could fly out there right now and be your private nurse. You have cared so much for me in my low points--I wish there was more I could do. Call me anytime day or night.(even in the middle) Take care of yourself...and I'm always here. You can even bawl if you need to too.

Big hugs,
Barb:kiss:

I am so sorry you feel so rotten today, Kelly!! I know it stinks to go there, but please go to the ER if you need to... you shouldn't have to put up with this kind of pain. I wish there was more I could do for you!!

I hope you can get some sleep, and I hope things are better for you tomorrow.

Jen

Hi Kelly,

I'm really sorry that things are going so badly. I'm going to see a URO after waiting years, so perhaps you aren't so badly off! Anyway, if you feel that bad that you need to go to the ER, make sure you do. And when you get there, make sure they know how much pain you are in. Make a fuss, a scene, wahtever you need to do. My IC - or whatever it is - started after I had a kidney infection. I waited FOURTEEN HOURS!!!! in the ER, watching other people waltz in for
-a pregnancy test
-a hurt knee
-other things that obviously weren't hurting them as badly as me

It wasn't until I finally asked to use the phone to call my Dr. and was waiting for him to call back, holding myself up with the ER desk since I couldn't stand, that a Dr. saw me and made them get me a bed. Then a Dr. came to see me and didn't realize what was going on until I got up to "try" to pee. All along the nurses had said that it was just a UTI, and so of course they kept me waiting. Make sure that you get through to the triage nurse the extreme nature of your illness.

Emily

p.s. In those fourteen hours, I went to two hospitals, having given up after 6 hours at one and went to a second.

Dear Kelly,

I'm so sorry you're feeling so crappy. We're all here for you. Do have any luck with moist heating pad or/and pain meds? Perhaps you've overdown it and you're body is telling you time to rest and you must listen. I know this cycle is the pits, just try to rest, even though you'd rather be up and about.

Take really good care of yourself,
Julie

When I'm having problems, I telephone my uro's office and if they can't get me in right away, he will always call me back.

I have to agree that if you can't get to either your primary care physician or your uro for some help with pain, ER is about the only choice left.

Sending warm healing thoughts,
Donna

Kelly,
I am so happy you are doing better. Today is my second day back at work and so far so good. Luckily they have been understanding about pain control especially at night. Know I'm there on the bad days too.

Hugs,
Barb
