medication issues!

I am newly diagnosed with IC and am taking Elmiron. It seems to be helping the IC, but is making me very, very nauseous. I've tried taking it with food and emptying the capsule in water, but I'm still nauseous. Anyone else had an issue with this or have suggestions?

I suggest you ask your doctor about this. How long have you been on this med? Are you on any other meds?

Urelle. I think they both make me nauseous. It's tough to eat anything.

You might try stopping the urelle for a few days to see if it's the problem. But still please call your doctor.

I notice nausea with elmiron,even dumped in water... my suggestion, take it right before bed, so you will fall asleep before the nausea sets in.

At my last appointment with my fibromyalgia specialist, he added a prescription for Elmiron to my other regular prescriptions after I told him my IC had been bothering me. Since he did not discuss this drug with me, I chose not to start it. After reading all the comments from those experiencing side effects, I think he should have at least discussed those with me.

Wish there were a miracle drug! For now, sticking with Cystroprotek - so far, so good.
