Tofranil and weight gain?

I have been on Tofranil 25mg since June 2008. Within the last 3 weeks, I have been really hungry even after eating a meal. Has anyone felt hungrier while on Tofranil and at what mg? I don't know if it is the Tofranil or just me. I also take Yasmin but have been on it for years and have been doing instills since Feb. 2008.

Is Tofranil what they give that acts the same way as Elavil? I have been on Elavil for about 14mths now, and i have seriously gained about 40lbs. I am on 75mg. I have called my doc and one of them wants to do instills, the other said Enablex which really irritated me. Why do they always through in those stupid meds, THEY DON"T WORK...any suggestions would be nice! I have been taking Cystoprotec and I don't know if its working or not, but it costs me $50 a month and the Elavil is only 53 cents!

How soon after taking Elavil did you start getting hungry? On 10mg, it only took 3 months. I have been on 25 mg of Tofranil (comparable to Elavil) for 9 months now. I have been feeling good for months now.

Oops, I am just have been feeling hungry for 3 weeks now and all I want to do it eat eat eat. I am doing laundry right now and dusting to keep my mind off until I can eat my subway sandwich. Yummy.
