My first dmso treatment today

Ok, I went in for my first treatment. The catheter was uncomfortable. There wasn't too much pain involved for me. I am so relieved! I could only hold it for 15 minutes. I almost couldn't get my pants down in time. The doctor gave me a prescription for Ultracet. It was a prescription for 20 and cost me $32.00. My insurance wouldn't cover it for some reason.

My symptoms have been really bad lately. I'm hoping this dmso will give me some relief.

I'm having pain when I urinate. That's the worst part of the DMSO so far. I guess it's from the catheter.

Anyway, I just wanted to update you guys.

I'm glad it went so well for you, and I hope it brings relief.

As for the pain while urinating, yes, that could be from the catheter, and also the DMSO is a bit irritating at first. If you've got some Pyridium or Urised or another urinary analgesic like that, you can take that to relieve some of the burning. It helps.

I always sat on an ice pack after an instill. I think it helped the irritation of the cath. Glad it went well for you.:thumbsup:
