Does the Interstim have to go on the buttocks?

My ass is flat as can be and I was wondering if there is another place it can be attached? I hear it sticks out some on a normal female.

Cathy, I replied in your other post on what you should know. It can be placed in your stomach, but do you want wires through your intestines?

Hi ladies~

I just had the temp. interstim put in, and all I can say is OMG!! My pain level has gone from an 8 to a 2, and that is in the first 4 days!! I feel like I have a new lease on life. I want everybody everywhere who deals with IC to know about the interstim!!

I am also an OR nurse. My OR doesn't work with the Interstim - oh, yeah, I will try and change THAT- but I know that it goes under the skin, in the fat pad. It wouldn't go through or in your intestines. There is a layer between the fat pad and the internal organs, so you should be fine.
