So sorry you are in so much pain....can you use ice or heat with the patches?? alternating heat and cold is helpful for pain and inflammation.
Try visualizing your bladder....visualize the IC.....than make it disapear.
It is usually a termporary fix...but when you are flaring....anything helps right?
Best Wishes,

I'm assuming that you are following the IC diet.
Sometimes just drinking more water helps me out of a flare. And antacids, such as Tums, can also help.
I hope you feel better very soon.
Warm hugs,
Donna

Thank you all for the advice. I have since had my surgery. My dr told me to hold off of the self cath for now. My dr told me to sit and do not be up often eapecially when I am in pain. It has been 4 weeks since my surgery. I feel like Iam going crazy just sitting araound can be depressing. And my family is in a financial crisis. Please keep us in your prayers

Hi Melissa, so sorry to hear you're not feeling well. When I'm in pain and discomfort from IC, I knit (it keeps my mind busy), I try a warm shower, I listen to soothing music. I find all of these to be effective. Take care.

Thank you sunflower69 for your responce. I have tried to get back in to crocheting. I guess that is how you spell it. I wish that there would be a treatment for pain that would work for me. My Dr suggessted the interstim unit. I watched the video and for some reason it scared me. I guess the possibilty of repeat surgery and infection.

I have been in contact with my Dr and she has no new ideas for me. My hearing for SSI is on Halloween morning. I really hope that I will win! At least if I win I will not have to do without medication when my husband has no extra money! I will be able to purchase it myself! I do worry about what I will do if I do not win. My pain has dimidshed some. As long as I do not try to do really anything my pain is less.
