hey guys! My name is Lexi. I'm 26. I'm new to the site but defiantly not new to IC. After several urologists, doctors, tests, etc, I was finally diagnosed in 2007 using the potassium sensitivity test. Then I was re- diagnosed in 2008 based on history and symptoms by a new and my current wonderful urologist. I've been on the same consecutive group of meds... no dosage or time changes, for about 8 months now and I'm doing great! That's not to say that I never flare because I certainly do, but my "bad" days are few and far between. :) Anyway, this site is wonderful- there's so much information; it's amazing!! I will be the first one to give you a welcome on here. Ok, then. You were right. You have found a good place by coming on here. Besides, we will understand. Many people will not. I guess I must remember you are new to the site and not to IC. Regardless, I don't know what meds you are currently on, but you said you are doing great. That is good to know. I wish I could say that right now. I left work early last night. Yep! (UTI on top of IC and allergies) Ok. It seems like you must be one of the ones with IC only. If so, you can be thankful in a way. Hey! We are not thankful we have got a chronic illness, but I just know many of us do have more than IC only. Take care and be good.
