Seen my new uro---Love him---He too thinks I have neurogenic bladder..

Has anyone ever been on Sanctura XR? He is giving me a trial run on this for the frequency. Same side effects as ditropan XL but he says it goes through the kidneys and into the bladder as Ditropan dont so it may work better. Had a racing heart today, hope its just anxiety and not the med.

Any thoughts

Thanks

I have tried it. I didn't have much luck. It gave me bladder retention. However its worth a shot and I am not sure what a nurogenic badder is but it could work for you.

Well, to me, it feels like I have a full bladder but when I go pee only a little comes out. It's very aggravating. I had it with Vesicare and Sanctura.

I am currently taking Sanctura XR every morning. I took it for seven days, thought it wasn't working and stopped taking it. The following week I was so much worse. I could hardly leave the house I had to go to the bathroom so much. I started taking it again after a week off. I have now taken it for eight days and plan to stay on it. It takes some time to see some improvement. I am not 100% better, but I am much more functional! I still have the feeling of needing to go but it is not as strong. I am able to push it to the back of my mind. I can go usually 2-3 hours during the day between bathroom trips. Night time I am only waking up once (am taking a sleeping pill, however.) During the first few days on the Sanctura I would still wake up several times a night, even with the sleeping pill. I'm not sure about the retention; I think it causes a litte bit, but not too much to be bothersome. Hope that helps.
