I have never talked online before,so not sure what to do! Have had IC for about 10 years.Found new Uro last year,who has been alot of help! Have pain constantly! not sure if it's just IC or IC and fibromyalgia?No pain meds seem to work! just wanted to know there are other people that understand!

You have definitely come to the right place to find people who understand what you are feeling. My IC was diagnosed 29 years ago. I think I'm one of the fortunate ones --- hydrodistensions, combined with DMSO instillations, seems to keep me feeling pretty good most of the time.

You'll want to read the information in the Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/ There's a lot of good information there.

Thanks,Donna! I have had DMSO instillations in the past.Am now having "cocktail" instillations.They are helping with the burning alot! Still working on the pelvic pain.Also have severe leg pain. My Uro is talking about hydrodistension,no decision yet!

Glad your new uro is helping you! Sorry you have IC but you have come to a wonderful place. There is alot of information here and everyone is supportive.

I'm so glad you finally decided to post :)

I'm sorry you have IC and are having problems right now, but I'm glad your instills are giving you some relief, and that you have a uro who is working with you to find a treatment that works!

Glad you decided to post. I did the same thing. Spent a long time just reading and learning everything I could after I registered. There is so much good information here and so many wonderful people who are here to help as best they can.
