The bone scan is a DEXA scan to check for osteoporeosis. The instructions include stopping all calcium products 48 hours before scan. I take Prelief regularly, with most all meals unless I am absolutely sure there is nothing in it that can cause a flare. I asked the Tech who does the scans and I don't think she has even heard of Prelief.

Prelief does contain calcium so I think it would be one that should be stopped before the scan.

Hi!
Each Prelief tablet contains 65 mg of elemental calcium as calcium glycerophosphate, so you should stop taking the Prelief as directed.

Thank's for your answers. Having to stop Prelief even for 48 hours makes me even more grateful for it being invented. And Donna-Happy Birthday to you! (yesterday I think).
