Although I've been reading these boards for about three years, I've just decided it's time for me to get involved more. So here I am and I'm hoping maybe I can contribute something too. I've posted in the share your story forum, but I just wanted to say to everyone here that although I've done so much research on my own, these boards have been the biggest source of information and help to me. I wouldn't wish IC on anyone, but it's good to know I'm not alone.
I've had IC for 3 years now, but looking back I realize there were signs of it way before. I was in denial for a long time and kept thinking it must be something else they are just not finding, like possibly cancer. After a cystoscopy and biopsy I was thrilled to learn it wasn't that. I just couldn't accept the IC diagnoses and it caused a very serious depression and took me a few years to work my way out it. But I have and am grateful to be here with all of you. :smile tee
