Sorry for being a pain but I've been thinking. Could the gyno really tell everything was fine down there with looking and feeling inside? Wouldn't an ultra sound at least maybe tell why I bleed so much again with clots? Not just because it happens?

You're not being a pain Mary, ever!, K? :smile tee
I think you can trust your doc. They've seen lots and they've studied their butts off. I know they're tthe ones that went to medical school. BUT if you feel you need a second opinion...the do it. You don't have to tell that gyno. Just go, or get your PCP involved and see what they have to say. I'm a big believer that yes, they are the ones that went to med school, BUT WE KNOW our own bodies better than anyone else, am I right?
I do wish you would consider talking to someone like a counselor or therapist. I think you've got a lot going and you're obsessing and you're stressing majorly (like a LOT of US have). If you can unload that stuff....omg physically you could feel so much better and btw did you know...those who are feeling depressed have a harder time losing weight. Depression, stress and all that can beat up you bod more than the IC ever will. Just think about it, K? (And you just tell WHOEVER its a doc, uro, gyno appt)

Being an ultrasound tech, I do not know how your dr. could tell just by an internal exam that everything was ok. An internal exam can not "look" into the inside of the uterus. I would tell him that I wanted an ultrasound of the uterus & ovaries. You don't mention your age. Are you menopausal, peri-menopausal, still menstruating normally?
This is not meant to be medical advice. But an ultrasound gives you the anatomy of the outside & inside of the uterine cavity. Don't obsess about it, just be a medical advocate for yourself.

I probably have turned into a hypocondriac (spelled wrong) but I just feel so lousy and feel lousier and lousier as time goes on.
I'm 44 and don't know if I'm pre-menopause or not. I've had awful cramps from day one of my period and early 20's the heavy bleeding and clots started. It all got better after being on BC but with each passing year off of it the cramps, bleeding and clots are getting more so. The thing is why the awful smell during my period if nothings wrong? That didn't happen until 2 years ago when the air from the vagina started. Did have an ultrasound 12 years ago so maybe he's going by that? Everything was fine except for little cycsts on the ovaries but those are just normal ones. Come and go.
I probably should just stop thinking about it all. Since I did live with it being that way from 11 years old to 35 years old. Guess if I can go that many years with the cramps, bleeding and clots I can go another 10.

um, no I don't think you are being hypchondriac....I never even hinted at that. What I did tell you: A lot of the feelings you have DO become very real physical problems and it can just snowball from there. It can become very real illnesses, very real pain. Everyone deserves to be happy and YES that includes you. :)
Just think about it. It really can help to sort out all those thoughts we have, you can be calmer and happier (and healthier because of it) Don't you want that? (I think you do.--???) :cat::cat::cat:

Yvette, I didn't mean you were calling me a hypocondriac. Just I was thinking that the other day. Was reading a magazine in the doc's office how a guy was saying his wife had turned into one and was taking pills (she got from a friend) and she didn't seem any better and not herself.
