Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, but is there a thread for general questions?

Anyhow I had begun doing my own instills at home, and starting flaring really badly afterward so I called the nurse at my uro's office. The first call was last week, and she never returned my call, and then I called about 3 days ago, and they still have not returned my call.

What would you do in a case like this? I could just make an appointment I guess, but isn't it bad practice to not get back to a patient with problems? I'm getting paranoid that they don't want to treat me or see me anymore because I have such a difficult case. I don't call very often to the office, and I hardly ever go in anymore. It's just that I haven't had a lot of luck with the different treatments. I'm also scared to make bad vibes with the staff nurse. Can anyone advise me on my next move?

Thanks

I was thinking of calling and asking the desk directly to speak with the other girl who actually showed me how to do the instills, but I want someone over there to know that the nurse is not returning my calls.

I would definitely call the front desk, tell them you are not leaving another message and you'll hold til the nurse can talk. They HATE that and they'll get the nurse, or whoever for you ASAP! LOL It works, trust me!

ps....you can also talk to the office manager and make a complaint. I've done that before and it worked wonders.

That is ridiculous! I usually get a call back sometime before the end of the day. If it's important though they always call me within a few hours. Last week I had a major problem and they put me directly through to the nurse. I think the pp has a good suggestion about insisting that you will hold while they get a nurse. So much of my treatment has been through communication with the nurses and dr. over the phone. If they don't fix this problem you should talk to the dr.
