I don't know if there is a correlation and I'm not a doctor, but speaking from personal experience I've seen a drastic improvement recently without antispasmodics and anesthetics. I used to take both Urelle and Detrol. I took for over a year. I was convinced they were saving me and maybe they were. But I went off them cause I read about their long-term negative effects and that Urelle actually increases the acidity of your bladder in order to activate its ability to numb the bladder? I thought that was so strange. But PT, acupuncture, Lyrica, benadryl, flexeril, sudafed have all been more effective. I've finally found relief! without having to rely on antispasmodics and anesthetics :) I hope this info helps someone! :)
