Hi All,
My daughter has now been told she has Pudendal Nerve Entrapment after 3 nerve block and a recent pudendal nerve motor test which came back abnormal. She has horrible pain in her pelvic and leg which seems to just get worse with everything. Now, after almost 3 years the doctors are now finally giving her a complete lumbar facet blocks for her back pain and this has now helped her to walk more up right and find some relief from the horrible lower back pain. She also has pain at the interstim implant site since this was put in about 6 months ago. She has had to push the implant back into it's pocket recently. The implant seems to stick out of her side at times, and then at other times you can't see it.
Do many IC suffers also have PNE?
Do you think you can have decompression surgery if you have the interstim?
Thanks , cb

I think PNE is somewhat common with IC patients BUT many drs don't know enough about it to properly diagnose it. Kind of like IC....many drs still don't know about IC...sad but true!
As far as surgery with the the Interstim I would talk with her dr. I have the Interstim and I still have had several surgeries but it is up to her dr.
GOOD LUCK with everything!!

Some of us have PNE but not all of us. I suggest calling her surgeon that did the implant on what to do about this. I think they can fix it with a minor surgery and may even be able to put the brand new Interstim Impant in for her which won't show much at all.

Good Luck and I hope she continues to get good relief from those blocks!

Warm hugs,

Kara
