Judith-
Thanks for the reply. What I was wondering when your dr. did your removal, did he remove any of your reproductive organs? I'm just wondering because my uro had said that I wasn't a candidate since I haven't had children yet. Also, are you able to wear the clothes that you wore before? I am interested in having the procedure done, but I don't know why my dr. is against it.

Alana, I was 30 when I had mine out and I also had two children. I kept all my reproductive organs and many women do get pregnant and have no problems with having babies with an ostomy. I was able to wear allthe clothes I wore before the surgery afterwards. Many doctors are against the surgery because it is so final, but for some of us it is the only answer. I would try all that is availbe to you before making any decisions, once it is done , it is done. Some people do experience severe infections as well as other problems afterwards, but it even so for some it is a Godsend. Good luck, Judith
