I hurt my knee a while back and bought some of these to wear at night. Then my husband hurt his back and we bought some more. Today I got my period and he had the bright idea that I should put one on my abdomen to help my cramps. (DUH! They even make one just for menstrual cramps) Boy, does it work like a charm! Nice and warm, no cramps, no pills, plus it's helping my bladder. I often use hot water bottles but they get cold easily plus you can't move around with them. These things are the best!

Yes....I always have a lot of them.....unfortunatly when I am having hot flashes..they just aren't as appealing as cold. Regardless thrilled they are there for when I flare!
They are a life saver to me sometimes when I have a flare.

I was so surprised that I got a sample one of these Thermacare pads in the mail.I put it on my lower back and was amazed it worked so well.
Yes, I love them! I no longer have periods and I thought I would be through with them after my hysterecomy; but then the IC presented itself! So, I use them when I'm flaring and they sure do help me.
It's the "little" things that makes the difference isn't it?
Hi, aren't they the greatest, I have had them on my back at times, really helps, and knees and all over the place, they truly are gems as Donna posted, hugs Iris. :hi:

If you go to the website & fill out your address, they will send you a $2.00 coupon.

I have also used the 'Hot Hands' hand warmers. They are a lot cheaper, but are only easy to find in the winter months.

Perhaps the company would sell a bunch in bulk to the ICN store who could then sell them for less than in the stores?
Emily
Everyone, go to that site! There is an option " Contact Us". Write them a letter! Let them know how much we love their heat wraps!

We actually carry a better and more affordable pad than the thermacare. It's our Bodiheat pads... which are just $3.50 for three. The bodiheats last for several more hours and generate more heat. So, those are the ones that I use.
BTW... Jan and I just tested all the heating pads again to decide which ones we wanted in the store. We, yet again, found the Bodiheats better. If you want to try one of these, you can send me a legal sized self addressed stamped envelope (with three 37 cent stamps) and we'll send you a sample.
Just send your request to:

I'm going to Walgreens right now. I really appreciate good information from all of you. These suggestions help so much with the day to day pain I feel, and the additional comfort means a lot to me. I am always cold and I regularly sleep on a heating pad. This will allow me to have heat anytime. Jala.
I sure do want to try a sample! Thanks for the information!
By the way, do they wrap around?
The bodiheat pads work really well, they do not wrap around, just put on the spot that really hurts the most. I have used them and found them to be great. Iris. :hi: :flower:

I wear a heating pad nearly every day. Have one on right now, as a matter of fact. :D I can't live without these things!! Every time I have ordered something from ICN, they have sent me free samples of the Bodi-heat pads, and I agree Jill, they are the best!! I just go through so many, being organized enough to order enough in advance is a little bit too challenging for me right now. :) Walgreens now carries a very similar 12 hour pad, Cura heat?? (I am at work and can't check the box). I like it as well as the Bodi-heat pads. I am not sure I could function without them. The heat, along with my pain meds help keeps the pain at a bearable level. I love those little pads!!

I tried a bodi heat pad that came in samples....while it was nice, it didn't seem to keep me as warm as the therma care and Ididn't notice it as well. However, I guess in bang for your buck, the bodi heat pad is good. You get many more for less money.

Tracey,
Hmmm, I felt that the bodi-heat pads stayed warmer longer than the ThermaCare. Like everything else, we all have different responses and you just have to experiment.

The bodi heat did stay warmer for longer but, I think since the therma wraps wrap around you, I feel, I dunno, more snuggly. I also just bought the lamb thingy that you heat in the microwave andit stays warm for two hours (it has buckwheat and jasmine inside and smells pretty good) Ilay it over my tummy when I go to bed...It's just the perfect wieght and warmth, again, I feel more snuggly and more surface area is covered. (when I hurt from IC it goes from my ribs to my pubic bone, then from hip to hip and front to bac,...I am miserable...................) so that's why I like the bigger heating area.
Tracey
I still haven't sent my envelope for the body heat.
I did buy the Therma Care patches that are for menstrual cramps. I prefer the Therma Care Heat wraps. If the pain is in my back, I wear it there, if it's more in the bladder area, I just spin it around. It's a bigger area, and I prefer the wrap to the little patch.

Yeah...that was my feeling too...I bought the menstrual relief ones and I liked the wrap around one better. Bye, bye....
Tracey
I sent my envelope, so I'll give it a try!
