Hi, I have another question! My MD believes I have IC, but I am seeing a Uro this coming Wednesday. I am also just finding out about pelvic floor dysfunction. I believe it is common to have both IC and PFD? How do you know if you have PFD? Two days ago, during sex, I felt a terrible pain in my left lower abdomen. It felt like a muscle was hit. It felt like a tight muscle in my abdomen and then it kind of went into a charlie horse and then released. But it was very painful. I'm wondering if this is PFD?

Thank you!

Well, to be graphic about it - I knew something was amiss when my bm's came out flat and I was tremendously constipated all the time.
The muscles around the anus and perineum go into a spasm and you can't have normal bm's.
My pfd therapist confirmed my dx.

That makes sense. I was very constipated until I started on a magnesium supplement and a soluble fiber supplement. That helped a lot, but the muscles still are way too tight. I am sure I must have PFD. If only the doctor would listen and send me to a PT!

He might have hit your cervix during sex.
