:hi: I wonder about vit C too, and heard on the radio about Ester C supposed to be without the irritants of regualr vit c. Does anyone take Ester C?

Citric Acid is the bad part of the Vitamin C. When I took it before.....I bled. So be careful. Everyone has a different effect based on how bad their IC is.

It was suggested to try Pre-Relief, and I did try it with soda, just because I hate drinking just water.....I did not see any difference.

How about it IC Veterans? What can we do about lack of Vitamin C. What about Ester C?

I Have to stick to the diet, and I avoid everything not on the almost anyone can have it list. I am still pretty sick with IC and flares, but I know when I have eaten something that was a no no for me. I have not had juice for years, but I can eat pears pretty well now. Stay safe, dont take the Vit C without advice from your doctor. :grouphug:

I take 500mgs of Natrol brand Ester C and it does not bother me, I tried to raise it to 1,000mgs but could not do it.

I asked my pharmacist about Ester C & he told me that if I cannot eat an orange, then I shouldn't take Ester C. So, I never tried it. He recommended that I take B-Complex without C in place of a multi-vitamin so I'm at least getting some vitamins in my system. I've had a lingering cold since Christmas & have had two rounds of antibiotics with no relief. It's my personal belief that I can't get over this cold because I can't have C. After reading all the posts of others who can tolerate Ester C, I'm going to give it a try no matter what the pharmacist says.
